Ken does seem like he has an agenda in this column. He cares a little too much.

I was thinking about what you would say because you didn't trash him like some did throughout this process. I am not unbiased when it appears that someone is purposefully looking to make the O's look bad, i.e., have an agenda, but, I felt you were closer with your opinion that Kenny did not have a agenda, assuming him being a professional - oops, now, I am much less sure.

I can't tell if he is:

1) Back-pedaling while justifying his existence

2) In a state of panic because he is losing the battle of a million "reporters" on the web and needs something provocative to get attention. He may become irrelevant.

3) Hates PA so much that he can not be neutral nor professional (he has tried in the past but I didn't find much sincerity)

4) Does not have a clue

5) Truly believes what he is writing.

I tend to believe something between 2 and 3 after this article.

It's the battle of millions of reporters.

That’s probably not possible at this point, though the Blue Jays can take some solace in being in much better shape than the Orioles, who appear to have badly overplayed their hand on Duquette and now find themselves with an executive vice-president, baseball operations who wants to be elsewhere.

Perhaps Shi Davidi is overplaying his hand in continuing to beat the drum for Duquette's (alleged at this point) unhappiness and the forthcoming dire consequences for the Orioles. The story's already grown stale. It could be that Dan's quite happy to be somewhere other than on the outside looking looking in for the next four years. Plenty of time to put this behind him if the damage to his relationship with PA isn't irrevocable.

Reminds me of when the O's sucked and someone in Baltimore media would find a minor point to base an argument that the O's were somehow better off than a team that had just gone to the LCS.

In the interim, the Blue Jays will be free to explore the many candidates that will emerge for the post, with Beeston’s upcoming retirement acting as an invitation for those interested to apply.

LOL. As opposed to the "one" that they've been obsessed with for months.

The one guy who whines about this team more than Ken. However, Ken finally met someone with a bigger ego than himself.
