And he did.   A K and a weak 1-3 grounder.  It comes down to Snell vs Elly for the no-no.

That is wild for me to think about, but that's probably common nowadays.  I can't imagine a pitcher in the 90's being in the conversation for best in baseball who didn't pitch into the 9th on occasion, now it's like you're risking Tommy John surgery every time you do it.
