Ya he seems head and shoulders better than the other choices, but the question is what would the Cards want in exchange? The best I'd be willing to offer is Norby or Stowers plus maybe somebody further down our 10-20 prospect list. Would that get it done? Or maybe they'd go for players on our ML roster. St. Louise is getting nothing offensively from their CF position (.154 / .209 / .187 / .396 OPS) or 2B (.181 / .265 / .326 / .592 OPS) so perhaps Hays + Urias + plus a lottery ticket. Also, Helsey (at least so far) has extreme reverse splits, with RH hitting .303 off him while LH are only at .121. Maybe that's just SSS, but I'm wondering if he has some kind of killer change up or some such pitch that makes lefties helpless against him. Anybody know? -
In the last 30 days before today, he’s been worth 0.6 WAR (roughly 4 WAR pace). 105 wRC+ even with a very low BABIP (.267) considering his quality of contact. K% is high (33%) but overall that’s far from atrocious. -

He also continues to look smooth in the field. Confident he can handle center pretty well. -

When Gray Rod comes back, its gonna have to be a Mike Baumann DFA, unless Elias is working the phones for a trade. The Norfolk Shuttle isn't as much a thing now with all these arms without options You'd feel like even Baumann would have to get you a lottery ticket from a team desperate for bullpen help? -

Ya, this feels like just a bad luck streak (in a dancing school) rather than an actual slump. He's having good ABs, and looks confident at the plate. Not really worried about him at all.
