Ridiculous. Dodgers are already way, way over their pool allotment, so they are allowed to trade away pool money to gain prospects? Absurd. Why bother to have rules at all?

Technically they are buying prospects with the penalty money, right? Damn, that's gangster...

And they bought a draft pick off the O's.

They are really leveraging their economic resources.

To all the folks that wanted to see what Friedman would do if he had money...you got your wish.

And they have cheap contributors making their way to the big club, which is going to allow them to drop that payroll to a more reasonable (but still weighty) position. And they added two arms in the June that were potential top 5 draft arms entering the season.
