Danny Hultzen cleared outright waivers. ... Despite going second overall in the 2011 draft, Hultzen has yet to tally 200 professional innings pitched.

MLBTR

Brett Lawrie and Danny Valencia are both available.

Let's get Hultzen into the system. No interest in the A's guys.

Any idea on options? Out of them I assume?
The Mariners have gained another option year on left-handed pitcher Danny Hultzen. As Bob Dutton of The News Tribune explains' date=' players become eligible for a fourth option year when they have been optioned in three seasons but have yet to accrue five full professional seasons.[/quote'] http://mlb.nbcsports.com/2014/11/21/mariners-gain-another-option-year-on-danny-hultzen/

Since he was waived, no option has been used. When they trade him, they will trade him with an option. If they do.

Heyman "(Os) have legitimate interest in outfielder Alex Gordon."

Heyman...the mouthpiece for Boras. I don't doubt that we have some interest in Gordon as he plays good D along with his bat...just how far would you go with him? Would he be willing to accept a 3-year deal?

Costs the first round pick.

Gordon is a good player, but no team is buying his fantastic last five years, but rather the next five, and his age-32 through age-36 seasons should be less impressive than the five which have preceded them. Even with those limitations, it?s possible that the market is slightly undervaluing Gordon?s potential value.

Just heard this trade proposal on XM MLB. AJ to the Mets for Lugares and Harvey.......:scratchchinhmm:

That would be an absolute steal for the Orioles. Jones is starting to get up there in age, while Harvey still has his prime. Lagares, when healthy, is a defensive monster. That's likely free up enough money to pick up Alex Gordon and still have the rest of the winter fund to throw at Chris Davis.

Thats a trade I would make. Love me some AJ, but young #1 starters like Matt Harvey do not grow on tree's and Lagares is an outstanding defensive CFer in his own right. I don't see the Mets making this trade, but if they want to.....I am in.
