Cuban third baseman Luis Yander La O has been declared a free agent by MLB, according to MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez.

Fellow Cubans Anibal Sierra, Henry Quintero and Oscar Valdez were declared MLB free agents as well, Sanchez reports. The 24-year-old Yander La O becomes a free agent after spending six season in the Cuban National Series. In his last season in 2014, Yander La O batted .327/.404/.401 with 11 steals in 76 games. His age and experience suggest he could contribute to an MLB team sooner than later, and he's likely to draw interest immediately. Jan 28 - 7:55 PM

Yep, the guy's name is Lous Yander "The O"

How does Pete pass this up?

I thought we should have signed Cespedes back when he was first available, then Puig. If we are going to be shopping for bargains, why not bet on some Cuban guys? You are getting more physically mature, closer to mlb ready, plenty of data to watch from Cuban players than 15 year old Dominicans.

Come on folks obviously this guy must be signed, his name is literally Luis Yander THE O (Luis Yander La O). That is about as well suited a name for an Oriole player as any foreign player ever could have.

Yeah, it's not like his name is La Diamondback.
