2014, as no. 2 hitter:

Machado (238 PA): .728 OPS

Pearce (222 PA): .976 OPS

De Aza (62 PA) .837 OPS

Cruz (60 PA): .935 OPS

Young (56 PA): 1.059 OPS

Lough: (50 PA): .773 OPS

Bottom line, almost everything we tried in the 2-hole worked pretty well in 2014.

2015, as no. 2 hitter:

Paredes (210 PA): .810 OPS

Parra (179 PA): .683 OPS

Machado (93 PA): .690 OPS

Pearce (62 PA): .388 OPS

Snider (56 PA): .751 OPS

In 2015, not so much. OPS in the two-hole was .854 in 2014, .716 in 2015.

That's a wonderful example of why 62-PA splits are almost meaningless. Or 210.
