Opening Day roster?

wildcard

Recommended Posts

So now, what does it look like for you?

C-Joseph

1B-Davis

2B-Schoop

SS-Hardy

3B-Machado

LF-Kim/Rickard

CF-Jones

RF-Trumbo

DH-Alvarez

Bench:

Pena (I think Wieters starts on the DL)

Kim/Rickard

Flaherty

Reimold (I don't know if I like this move, but it's what I think they will do)

SP:

Tillman

Ubaldo

Gallardo

Gonzalez

Worley

Pen:

Britton

O'Day

Givens

Brach

Bundy

Wright

Phillips

May not be my picks, but it's what I think will happen right now. I think Wilson starts at AAA and Matusz, Wieters and Paredes are on the DL. If we acquire someone like Murphy, this of course changes.

Buck seems to think Wieters will make opening day. You could be right though.

I think they keep Roe for at least the first 5 games over Wright. Injuries could happen in those games that change things.

Wright could start over Gonzo.

True; that way they can try to slip him through later and hopefully keep him.

I think Paul Janish is a much better choice, and Flaherty's never done much other than the occasional homer. Janish's defense is better, and I think he would hit better. But some things never change.

So much for the BEST 25 players.

He will if he hits in Norfolk like he did in spring training. He hasn't played in the majors since 2012 so we'll see.

Of course he has to go down with the right attitude and produce numbers. Obviously impressed Buck this Spring. Hope he forces his way up.

And I'm not convinced Kim is worthless. I hope he can show at least some of the skills he has shown before to possess.

e: I hope Buck isn't convinced he's no good. At least gives him some chances. I remember two years ago? DD brought in that character-challenged reliever that Buck just buried.
