Rich Hill making this list is the most shocking thing. Guy was completely horrible for us 7 years ago and then re-surfaces.

This list is not about other years. the heading says, "Let's do our monthly rundown of the 100 players who have been tops in 2016 thus far." This list is the top 100 players of for 2016 only. It does not take into consideration what the player did in the past.

This list is compiled by a moron. How do you not include the ML leader in home runs in top 100? Probably a football fan.

Fielding? No.

Baserunning? No.

Arm strength? Grades out average for career, negative this year. Maybe passes an eye test.

Hit for average? Career .251 hitting, .253 this year right on schedule. No.

Power? You got it baby.

Would you take Trumbo and his two tools and trade them for Billy Hamilton and his two tools?

Harper is to high at 88. Dexter Fowler has sure fell off after the hot start to the season.

The question is the national league pitchers so much better then AL pitchers or is it because the lack of star offensive hitters in Nl.

He's sporting an .836OPS and sitting at 3.8fWAR despite missing over a month due to a hamstring issue. What exactly were you expecting?

HR aren't everything. Trumbo has compiled a 1.7fWAR so far. He has been abysmal on the bases and in the field eating the vast majority of his offensive production. His 1.7fWAR puts him in a tie for 118th most valuable position player this year.
