How is that false?

The defensive metrics have been all over the place on Saunders.  He is pretty much the poster child for the imperfection of the metrics.  Plays all 3 spots, with more games in CF than RF or LF.  Oddly, MLB teams don't tend to put horrible defenders in center field.  He isn't among the best center fielders, but he most certainly isn't a hobble defensive outfielder.  He as always shown well in RF by the metrics.  He was 4th of all AL outfielders, and 1st among right fielders, in total zone runs in 2014.  He has a good arm.  He has good speed/range.  The Orioles would be looking at him in right field, which has shown to be his best spot, and always above average, according to the metrics.  All in all, there is absolutely no reason to think he will be a horrible right fielder.  Hence, false.

It's still not false. The numbers say he isn't good in RF or LF. That's reason enough to think he'll be bad in RF. A position he hasn't even played much. And RF in OPACY is tricky.

False.  The numbers absolutely show that he has been good in right field.  The season in which he was the starter in right field - 2014 - he led the league in total zone runs.  He has never shown poorly in right field - never,  Believe that both Toronto and Seattle decided to play an oaf in center field if you wish, but when you pretend that being below average in center means that he will be horrible in right field, you are way off base.
