What do you think of the O's offering Brach 2.525M?

Brach is coming off an All-Star season. Its is second arbitration year.  Relievers are getting record contracts.  I think Russell has his work cut out for him.

I think for a non save reliever with his history prior to the last 18 months that it's a great offer!

I'm sure the O's did their homework.    We paid O'Day $2.2 mm at the same level of seniority after a great 2012 season (first year of a multi-year deal).    We paid JJ $2.6 mm in his 2nd year of arbitration after a great year in 2011 as a setup man.   There has been some inflation since then, so I agree Brach has a case.    But I'm not betting against Smouse.
