College Tourney Updates

[Stotle]

Just finished watching Aaron Crow pitch a 3 hit shutout against Ole Miss in the first game of the Regionals. The kid was very, very impressive. His delivery seems to be free and easy... very compact. His fastball sat in the low 90's most of the game, but he was able to reach 95 when needed. His secondary pitches (slider, change and curve) were also very impressive.

Man, I came away from that game very impressed with Crow.

Huge deal for Crow that he has rebounded in recent weeks. There were rumblings that he may not be able to maintain his stuff over the course of a full season -- this weekend (and maybe the next two) will be his chance to jump back into the top 3.

Another good post. Agreed, in that Crow has seemed to dispell the concerns over his ability to maintain his stuff deep into the season. He would be in the mix again in the top 3 or 4.

Shooter Hunt only went 5.1 innings, gave up 4 runs (3 earned) against the (cringe) Gators. Tulane won though by scoring 6 in the 7th. Shooter gave up 7 hits, struck out 5 and walked 2.

He's dropping to second half of the first round, at this rate.
