Was expecting Hunter Harvey news, not even kidding.

Just wait it will come sooner or later.

Harvey is one player I wouldn’t worry about playing service clock games with. If he is ever ready for the show just call him up. Who knows how any more pitches are left in that arm.

I don't know if he would have pitched against us this week, but reigning Cy Young winner Blake Snell goes on the DL with a fractured toe, suffered when he "got out of the shower and tried to move a large granite item".

Really weird injury or a bad cover story for something he shouldn't have been doing.

Quote

"Really dumb," Snell told reporters Tuesday. "It's like a three-piece set and this pole that comes up like 2½, 3 feet. Went to move it, I lifted it up and it wasn't glued to the pole and the pole came crushing down."

Only one start?  I know it is one of the smaller toes but I hope they don't rush him back, it could screw up his mechanics.

I rolled my eyes when I read that. It's his right foot too (i.e., the one he needs to land on). I think it's his fourth toe, but still...how can that not screw up his delivery if it's not healed? No chance he only misses one start.

The standard and universally accepted multiplier used by any knowledgeable baseball fan is four when it comes to team-sourced injury reports.  If a pitcher is expected to miss one start, it means four.  If it's "maybe" one start, it means at least six.

And if an Orioles pitching prospect has arm, wrist or shoulder soreness, and needs rest and further evaluation. It means you won’t see them pitching again until next year.
