It's gotta be difficult for a guy to get his timing down when he can't buy consistent AB's.

My impression last year was that he was cheating to hit the fastball and got beat most often on breaking stuff. His rep early in the year was "he can't hit a MLB fastball" but he proved he could for the most part. 

Kimbrel sure made him look bad, but he does that to a lot of people.

Oh, I don't know, maybe by just about every metric we choose to use for hitters like Avg, OBP, SLG, OPS, Hrs and oWar.
