Make that 9-6 against New York City teams.

Even the 2018 Horrorioles have small pieces of pride to latch onto.

I call Jinx !!!

I've heard it bad from several gloating Mets fans the last few days (I wear my O's cap around town.)

One day previous to that particular post, I had made another post stating that the Orioles were 8-6 against NYC teams ........ and the Orioles promptly won that game to improve said mark to 9-6. So there could not have been much of a "jinx" in regard to my posts on the matter, even if you believed in that stuff.

The Orioles are 8-6 so far this season against New York City teams (6-6 vs. the Yankees, 2-0 vs. the Mets.)

Also, you can remind your gloating friends that wins and losses count the same in the standings regardless of the number of runs scored in each individual contest, and the Orioles took 3 out of 4 games from the Mets this season ........ so the Mets could have won that final game by a score of 78-0, and it would not have changed the fact that the Orioles won the season series.

Is Davis going to start getting benched in September?  Why is he playing everyday, there is no reason for this wasted season or not.  Davis is going to qualify for the batting title by mid September at this rate.  Most likely sooner.

Maybe Buck is hoping for a hot September for Davis against called-up pitching. Although a good number of the games will be against teams probably still vying for playoff spots . So I don't know that we'll be seeing that much untried pitching anyway.

I know the season has been a lost cause since April, but how does Buck justify hitting Davis fifth in the batting order daily?

A shining example of Buck’s stubborness being a detriment to the team.

They've been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

How is Davis hitting fifth, or fourth, or first detrimental to the team?

Why worry about it?
