Focusing on this post, if we’re going to stink for a couple of years, I hope we at least go out and find some guys who can play defense.     

I’ve said it before and will say it again — the single best aspect of our winning teams in 2012-16 was our left side IF defense.    Very important on our pennant winning teams in the 60’s/early ‘70’s, too.

It's difficult to watch the left side of our infield although the new guy Renato Nunez made a nice diving stop today when Britton came in and started a double play to help Britton have a scoreless 8th inning. There is always a low hit solid defensive SS available on the market. We need him now until Grenier is ready. DD needs to find him NOW.  Our pitchers and team are losing too many games because of our defense.

We desperately need an entire new defensive roster. The outfield sucks, the infield sucks....and the catching position is green at best.

Clearly. And how suddenly it went down is staggering, at least the infield. The OF hasn’t been the same since Adam’s prime.
