We're not living in feudal Japan, so seppuku is out of the question.

At some point you think Davis would ask to go on the DL and attempt to fix his swing.

I don't know him that well.

I know some folks that I think would, I've known others that would be offended at the very suggestion.

I have no idea where Davis falls within that spectrum.

Can you go on DL for non-medical reasons??? I suppose he can claim anxiety, depression or other disorder.

Yes you can, but Davis has to agree to it first.

Someone has to have a come to Jesus conversation with Davis and get him to swallow his pride.  Athletes have big egos, but Davis needs an intervention for his own good. 

I doubt Buck would even consider this.

I was thinking more like Full Metal Jacket. Every time Davis strikes out everyone on the team except him has to do 50 push ups.

We know he won't give up the rest of the money but it really would be honorable if he did. Would I do it? No.
