2019 Arizona Fall League Thread

Dean Kremer pitched last night, allowing 3 ER on 7 hits in 5 IP, striking out 6.    All the runs and 5 of the hits came in the 4th and 5th innings.   Prior to that, Kremer had been pretty dominant, striking out 5 in the first 3 frames.    He also picked off two runners who reached on singles during his outing.   
 

Kremer should be available for the championship game on Saturday, if needed.

Maybe I am remembering incorrectly but I always thought the Championship game was on MLB Network. I don’t see it listed this year.

Perhaps because the game is being played while the World Series is ongoing, unlike past years where the AFL chsmpionship was in mid-November.   Though I don’t remember if the championship was televised previously.    The All Star Game certainly is.

I thought that as well but it looks like the game is at 1pm eastern. Oh well. 

I did some research and MLBN did air it previous years.

Alex Wells threw two shutout innings tonight, allowing three hits and striking out two.   He entered the game with two on and nobody out in the fourth inning, and struck out the first two men he faced and induced a ground out to escape the jam.     In the fifth, he allowed three singles but benefited from having a runner thrown out at the plate for the second out before inducing a fly out to end the inning.   
 

That’s probably it for Wells in the regular season, though he probably could toss an inning in relief in the championship game if needed.  He posted an 0.57 ERA and 1.09 WHIP this fall, only allowing one run in 15.2 innings, and striking out 15 as against 2 walks.   Great job by Wells.
