Since ST has started, does that mean that players can be placed on the 60 day DL?  Would Carroll or Stewart be candidates?

I don't think you can do that until some point closer to the start of the season (7 days?  10 days?) .   But I'm not sure.

Carroll reported that he is feeling 100% after the back surgery.

I think it is after full team physicals occur.

Reported that Villar is going to play some centerfield for the Marlins this year.

A case of us not thinking outside of the box or not knowing what we had?

Hays should be the OD CF.  But with his injury history, might have made some sense to keep Villar and put him in CF if he'd be adept and Hays winds up on the DL.

Well they used Steve there last year. 

Also they protected Martin and started Villar a ton at SS.

Good question, we've heard all the happy talk about him looking good in a January throwing session, but tomorrow we'll learn the truth.  Eric said about half the 35 pitchers threw today.  If we don't hear about a Cobb session tomorrow...

Several players around the league were placed on 60DL today: Reyes Moronta, AL Adams, Jordan Hicks, Michael Fulmer, and David Robertson, to name a few.
