Hanser led off with a sharp single.

Valaika got an infield single that the announcers felt the 2Bman probably should have made the play on.

Mountcastle hit into a 6-4-3, Hanser to 3rd.

Rio fouled out to the 3Bman so a promising start to the 1st inning came to nothing.   No Gary Sanchez to allow a couple pitches to get by him for some runs like last night.

One out single for Adames, Mountcastle got it back to 2nd quickly to prevent a try for a double.

Sounded like a good inning for Zimmerman.

Alberto hit by pitch on back of left hand. Shakes it off, and takes first.

Brett Hollander:  "Hanser Alberto is, to put it simply, a base hit MACHINE".

Hollander seems like a combination of Jim Hunter and @wildcard.   A little too much wide eyed optimism for me, he is the only one of the new announcer hires that is rubbing me the wrong way a bit (I have not had any chance to get familiar with Melanie Newman yet".
