That failure was mildly reminiscent of Game Four of the 1996 ALCS, when the Orioles loaded the bases with nobody out in the bottom of the 8th inning against Mariano Rivera, and then he proceeded to get 2 Strikeouts and a Popout to strand all of the runners.
