No, it certainly did not.

Judging from what Ohtani did to the Orioles out in Anaheim, you would think somebody told him about some ill-informed doofus making disparaging comments about him on Orioles Hangout.

46 HR, 100 RBI (batting leadoff), 8 triples (led league), 26 SB.

Probably a career year for him but what a year.

Amazing to watch.

IMO, they really need to trade him to a contender. Dodgers are an obvious choice..

When you have Ohtani, Trout and Rendon you should be able to build something around them.

If they trade him, Seattle would be the most logical destination, but the angels would never do such a thing.

Sorry for the thread necro if that sort of thing bothers you but I just want to point out the first inning Ohtani had last night.

1 2B 1 BB 2 RBI then Pitched Perfect 1-2-3 w/ 2K.

Ended up with:

6.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 12 SO, 1 BB,

2 for 3, 1 BB, 1 2B, 1 R, 2 RBI

Amazing feat.

Was just looking up him vs Bonds.  Bonds had 8 seasons better than Ohtani’s best(by OPS+) and his career OPS+ was 182.  Ohtani’s best season is 185.

Absolutely unbelievable.  3rd homer was off a position player, but who cares.  Just a tremendous performance by an exceptional talent.
