Pretty amazing, we're 9-7 - past one quarter of the 2020 games - and we still trot out the worst player in baseball almost every game and arguably the worst defensive player in the game (Smith).

Smith made up for that error with an rbi. He has played well. I honestly thought you were talking about Davis. We need to cut bait as he lacks effort out there, offensively and defensively. We only have 3 outfielders plus Velazquez vs. 1b where we could platoon some guys.

Its ok to smile once and awhile.

I'd smile more with Mountcastle in the lineup.  Is that ok?

You and me both. It's time. CD had back to back days of ole plays. We don't need a Dorn. Perhaps Tanner Scott (Rick Vaughn) could sleep with his wife. Maybe that'll wake his ass up. Hell, it worked for Dorn in Major League.

It's too early in the morning, but my favorite two teams of all time are '89 and '12.  And yes, I was there for the '83 season when they won it all.

Yeah 2012 was very nice, especially when DD announced he expected them to be over .500 and nobody took him seriously. And 89 was fun too but for me it is 82 and the gradual, almost inevitable chipping away at the deficit week after week until that last series in Memorial stadium, weeping the double header to force a 1 game season. Ended badly but for almost 2 months there was just tension and excitement. To me that failure in 82 setup the 83 win,  they were not about to fail again. And I'm old enough to remember the 61 crew so there, but that is another story.

I remember '82 as well, although I was only 11.  My enduring memories of that year are trading my favorite player, Doug DeCinces, for Disco Dan Ford, being incredulous about the Brewers acquiring Don Sutton on August 30th (What?  Wasn't the deadline a month ago?), and crying my eyes out during the last game of the season both when they were blown out early and when Earl had his curtain call.

Yep, 82 is up there for me.   Went to a lot of games with friends, I guess we all had our licenses in 1981 but the strike took out a chunk of that year, so this was the first time we were going to a ton of games as opposed to just going to games when my Dad took me.   I think the O's had a great record in games I went to that year and i personally saw 6 or 7 Oriole grand slams in like 20 games attended, which is ridiculous bu t it happened.

So 1982 is near the top of my list.   1989 was great, I was out of college and had my first 13 game plan and wound up going to 45 games, an all time high.   1979, I was all in on Oriole Magic.   I'm sure those are my top 3.   1983, 1980 (100 wins but no playoffs), 1977 (lost a ton to free agency and age but brought in a whole ton of young talent), 2012, 1997, 1996...   I've named 9 years now, so I just need to add one more for my top 10.   I'll put 2014 in.

Putting them in order would be tough

back to back what's?  Sorry, not getting the movie references; just know it pisses me off every time I see Davis batting.

That’s why I wasn’t sad to see the last of Villar.

He was most definitely not fun to watch. He was frustrating. on he all- frustrating team, he would be my starting second baseman.

I think I would have him play shortstop on that team
