I love how the lowest OPS of Ted Williams’ career was 1.019 except the random year when it was .791.

Well, he was 40 years old, but it’s still a huge outlier.  Then he OPS’d 1.096 at age 41.

The Kid requested a 30% decrease of his salary going into that year because of his under performance from the previous season. He also fought through injuries that season.
