I like Kremer but it should be a quick hook in that scenario. -
I think it's highly probably this is a piggy-back situation, but who is your pick to start Game 3 of the WC and possible Division Series? -
I think Fangraphs will be out there on a limb on this one. -
The only role I could see GRod filling at this point would be long relief in some game we’re losing by several runs. And I doubt they use a playoff roster spot for that.

With our regular lineup back on the field, I thought I’d list out their OPS’s since (1) June 21, the date the team’s general slide began, and (2) August 17, the day the serious offensive slump began. (The team averaged over 5 runs/game from June 21-Aug. 16). These are the players I expect to see most of the time in the postseason. Rutschman .609/.561 Mountcastle .621/.401 (6 games only) Westburg .723/— (only played one game) Henderson .847/.813 Urias .781/.962 (15 games only) Cowser .778/.736 Mullins .815/.765 Santander .824/.716 O’Hearn .669/.501 You can readily see my point that the offense has been far worse since August 17 than it was during the earlier part of the team slump, which was primarily (not entirely) due to poor pitching. And really, we need contributions from Adley, Mountcastle and O’Hearn in order for our offense to get untracked during the postseason. Other guys have had mild slumps but these three have dropped off dramatically dating back to June 21. It’s nice that we have our regulars back, but these guys need to pick it up.
