BTW the Santander steal attempt was definitely a hit & run. He was also running on the previous pitch which McKenna fouled off. It wasn’t a terrible decision by Hyde, just a terrible AB by McKenna.

You are right. On second thought, I really hope that it was just Santander running on his own rather than our manager putting on a hit and run.  Regardless, it was not a smart play.

If it was a called play, then it is a manager error. McKenna is not a good hitter, and Santander is not a good runner right now. The manager has to know who he has and what their capabilities are, to call a bit and run on a guy who’s injured is ridiculous.
