Although your point is entirely valid, the real question is what does Mike consider “worthwhile”?

Even if he traded Fry for just cash considerations, the new team would be screaming, Because he’s completely falling off a cliff. Scott is extremely frustrating and his new fan base would also be screaming, even if he were a PTBNL trade.

A GM has to have an accurate idea of what his pieces are worth, otherwise he’ll either give away value or retain pieces that haven’t any.

At the moment we have to give Elias credit for knowing what his players are worth. 
I personally think Fry and Scott are not worth anything, And if he got any offers at all, they were just giveaway prices.
