Eutaw Street names most underrated prospect.

They named Right handed pitcher Jean Pinto.

Pretty well known to us minor league news junkies.  Tony's #24 overall prospect.

I will tell you his story, again.  Signed by the Angels at age 18 in 2019 for the minimum $10,000.  Pitched a little in DSL in 2019

Sharp Orioles scouting acquired him as a throw-in for shortstop Iglesias.

Flew a little under the radar as righthanders under 6 feet tall are prone to do.

So Pinto may only be 5'11" but he's been up to 97 (they say) on the fastball, his slider is above average and he's working on his curve and change.

I wonder if they end up starting him Aberdeen next year or want him to get more time in Delmarva?

I guess it could depend on how ends the year but I would like to see him start in Aberdeen.

I do wonder how the front office  handles someone who has great numbers like Pinto but not alot of innings. Do they let him pitch in a fall/development league (to further develop him) or let him rest this off-season to save his arm?

I would hope he starts next year at Aberdeen.  I think he will.

If he finishes the last three weeks as strong as he’s been this far, I don’t see any reason he wouldn’t start at Aberdeen.  Crossing my fingers for the strong finish.
