David Price seemed to do ok making his MLB debut in the middle of September during the Rays 2008 pennant run and then pitching in relief during the playoffs.

Looks like today is the final day of the FCL season.   It will be interesting to see if anyone is promoted to Delmarva to finish out the year.

So with Hall making any promotion a meh thing right now, what does adding Rodriguez and Tyler Wells do for the major league staff?

Hopefully it really helps because our bullpen needs it right now.

20, 40 or 60 pitches will be interesting to see.     Each 20 pitches maybe represents 5-6 days on the calendar.

Based on what I heard Geoff Arnold say during a broadcast recently, I do not believe a 40-man move next 48 hours is necessary.    He reported "in organization" was the pool a Club could draw its postseason roster from.

Me too. But if GRod was called up in September, and then another pitcher was injured (or "injured") in September, would he be eligible for the postseason then?

It would be so awesome if his MLB debut was Game 1 of the Wild Card series.  I know it won't happen, and it probably wouldn't be smart, but it would be super cool.

Well I just bought 2 tickets in the second row behind the plate for Thursday night in Aberdeen.  Plenty of good seats available.

He can be added after 9/1 and still be eligible.  We'd have to petition the Commissioner's office for a waiver, or we could reason that he's replacing an injured player.

FWIW the Tides announcer just said that Grayson Rodriguez is expected to finish the season in Norfolk.  Said if there were no set backs on Thursday he should pitch his next game in Bowie and then finish the season with a couple starts in Norfolk.  Not what people want to hear, but I'm sure it's what most imagined.

He may be correct but I doubt that he knows anything more than anyone else.  I think only Elias and Sig really know what their plans are.
