They said he threw 40 in a sim game.  I think we all assumed he’d go something like 40,60,80 in first three starts. Looks like it may be 30,50,70,90.   Then they say he’s ready for 90 at MLB.  Puts him earliest in MLB 9/21.  But prob more likely 9/26 allowing him to get two starts in AAA and then two starts  at MLB level to end season.  All things work out perfectly, we get a WC and they petition for him to be on playoff roster.

Thanks for the link. It's complex! So GRod would have to replace another pitcher who finished serving a full stint on the injured list;  that is, GRod added instead of that other pitcher (for example Chris Ellis or John Means...)?

John Means is the rumored player amongst some others that could work....I believe.

Ellis, Means, or A Wells will work as a swap out for Grayson if it should come to that. 

interestingly with the like for like sub rule, the orioles don’t have a single position player on the dl they could have used as a swap for Gunnar. Might be one reason he was activated on the 30th

Has to be pitcher for pitcher or hitter for hitter?

That means Aguilar won't be able to be subbed in for playoff roster if we make it.

Never mind, my mistake, the like for like rule only applies to switches made due to injuries during a postseason series
