It's definitely too early to say this, but there's a lot to like about the bullpen as of 4/13/22

Just got through DVR of the bullpen part of the game.   Tate's first pitch bases loaded 1-out Chirinos scrambled into the batter's box to cover it.   At that moment Yankees up 1-0, bases loaded 1 out were threatening to blow it open.

Later that at-bat the middle infield turned the 4-6-3 double play on Aaron Hicks, Mateo with a nice turn having to do that thing where SS had to approach the bag from the 2B side due to the infield shift, then change directions for the throw.

Near two-thirds of a perfect game ensued.

Bullpen was great last night.  Had a real 2012 vibe to it.

Going forward, we'll see.  I believe I started a thread, or participated in one last year, around the end of April and I was effusive in my praise for them.

They immediately wilted under the pressure of having to carry an awful starting staff.

So far though there's a lot to like.

BTW, there was speculation about Tate after his last appearance and that should be put to bed now.  His velo was fine last night.

Grayson, Hall and Bradish replace Watkins, Lakins and Krehbiel/Fry and in a month it could be to a point where I wouldn't be sheepish about anyone on the roster pitching in MLB.

Krehbiel might be a keeper and I think it will be longer on Hall. Otherwise I agree *if* Akin/Baumann keep pitching well but that is a big if.
