These are just absurd. All the national attention Roy's post got and the aftermath ever since seems to be enticing pranksters everywhere to try and get a good laugh and some national recognition, albeit anonymously...

Understood, but doesn't that basically say we are giving up on this season? What do you tell the season ticket holders and the fan base at-large?

IMO, the fan-base won't need to be told anything if the Tex deal falls through. I don't think there's any rational Orioles fan out there who believes the O's are contenders as presently built. Roberts could bring the Orioles some nice prospects. Don't get me wrong, I like Roberts, but I like the Orioles more.

The Sun article certainly didn't make it sound like we've upped our offer or that anything is imminent. That's the only thing that doesn't jive with what we've heard around here.

The contract this guy mentions seems like a reasonable winning-bid, but that's about the closest thing this guy has to any credibility. Believe at your own risk.
