In her new role, Rosenbaum will oversee roster management, transactions, financial planning and major league operations and administration, while maintaining her role in player evaluation and acquisition across the professional and amateur markets.

Rosenbaum also will advise and assist executive vice president/general manager Mike Elias and vice president and assistant general manager, analytics Sig Mejdal in baseball operations decisions and departmental management.

Here's to hoping we see some significant changes on roster management. 

It will be interesting to see how much Elias let's go and how much he still will be involved. Is i still going to be a "collaborative" effort between her, Sig, Hyde and Elias? Or will she have autonomy to make roster deisions including DFAing AAAA guys who are wasting space and perhaps trading for older AAA guys who may need a chance.
