You know what I mean….

Stowers and Vavra have to play!!!

I don’t mind they are here but the expectations from some are bit much.

Sure, I agree. I just do not know where Vavra should play defensively. He is a liability on a good team. The arm is just not there. It actually looks like he doesn’t use his lower half correctly at times.

Nothing about the O's from 2019-2021 was anything but miserable.  I can't think of a worse job in baseball than managing the O's from 2019-2021.  I hope Hyde was seeing a psychiatrist.

The guy took the job after discussions with Elias.  He knew we were in a total tear down rebuild.  He was a coach who had the desire to reach his lifes highest goal.  MLB Manager.  The cost was to suffer for a while.  I dont think he was extremely miserable because his boss knew we were not built to win.  Hyde went into this with his eyes open.   Be one of only 30 MLB managers in America.  He was in heaven.

Wow, you interviewed him during that time.  That's great.  All I saw was Hyde looked like a guy who had splinters shoved under his fingernails during one of those long losing streaks while giving the manager crap that "the guys played hard".  I would say that this year, Hyde looks like he is having the time of his life.

Why would anyone be miserable when they took a job knowing they were going to lose for years.   He knew exactly what was ahead.  Elias told  him everything ahead of time.   You would be miserable if you were expected to win and could not and lost 100 games year after year.   But your not miserable when your boss is totally fine with what is happening.

Hyde was overjoyed to get the job.  It is the culmination of a life goal.

Sometimes you get your dream job and the circumstances turn it into your hell job.  At least Hyde is in Baltimore.  I think that managing a losing team would be literal hell on earth.  I guess Cal Ripken Sr was having so much fun when he got the O's manager job that he decided to have a little drink and go for a little ride.  And on another note, Flanagan had so much fun being GM of the O's and never felt any pressure.
