Tate is having a nice, consistent year.  And Hyde has gotten very good at recognizing when Tate doesn’t have his good stuff and yanking him before he can do major damage.

Tate has had a solid season. There's value in a guy who gives you consistent production. Watching him pitch, I think his changeup is much better than his slider. Recently I feel like he has gone back to his slider as his secondary pitch and that has led to some hard hit balls.

6+ years of Tate for a half season of Britton is pretty darn good. Lots of value there. Tate is a little underrated. Unknown.

Glad the O's got the best of Britton.  He was an absolute stud in the 2014 Division Championship season.

I love that he comes in throwing strikes.  His stuff isn't overpowering but you never feel like he's going to enter the game and immediately get himself in trouble.  I think he's a better 6th/7th inning guy but there is no mistaking how valuable he has been this year.

His slider location has really improved even though the slider itself is not really a great pitch movement wise. He ditched the cutter for the slider just so batters can't sit on the changeup as his offspeed pitch and that's made him more effective against rigties.

Yeah, that does not sound good at all. I feel bad for the guy. He's a good dude.

Britton was reactivated on Thursday after a successful month-long rehab stint.  

His contract is up at the end of this year.  Any interest in a Britton reunion?   I’d imagine he’ll cost a lot less than the Yankees have been paying him.  He’ll be 34 next year.
