I’ll admit it. The ML 10 game audition sticks in my mind. 1. You can’t teach size 2. The leg kick bailing out thing still bothers me 3. Mayo and Basallo look like middle order mashers My biggest hesitation is that if Mayo is too error prone at 3B then we have a hole in the IF. -

Sounds good, but we can get a similar prospect deal in the offseason at this point. Even worst case scenario is to use Mounty as a RH bat vs LH SP in the playoffs. If we traded Mounty, we'd still need that. For the playoffs... we currently have a need for RH bat vs LH SP at 1B and DH. Mayo only fills one of those needs. We need Mounty for the other. IF Seattle would entertain a trade of Mounty, Cowser, Urias, DeLeon for Woo then I would be interested. -

The set of players I would trade any of them for is very small and doesn't include anyone who is currently on the market. Maybe Skubal. I chose Basallo only because we don't need a young catcher as much as 29 other franchises do. -

Again, I understand what Skubal represents. Of course I'd want him and agree that he'd be a major addition to boost our fortunes for 2.5 seasons. I'm just expressing what I think Elias thinks. I think he'd give up Basallo or Mayo before Holliday... and I have doubts he'd do any of the three. -

Yeah I know the White Sox were adamant about getting pitching prospects back for Cease so it would make sense here too. But when you’re giving up the #1 prospect in the game, I don’t think the other team can be too greedy. And like you said, it’s fair to say his value is much larger with another team who doesn’t currently have a bonafide SS than it is with the Orioles. -

I get it..you don’t like him. My response is 🤷♂️ I believe in the player and the approach and that things will eventually start going in his favor. You don’t. Great.
