I think Manny would always be a bit overshadowed by Adam Jones on those teams in the minds of fans re: fan favorites. Much like how it will be difficult for Gunnar to really reach the mountaintop given Adley's centrality to the rebuild.

I think the Baltimore fans were very enamored of Manny.  But Adley is more important to the franchise and was more heralded before he arrived.  He was clearly the cornerstone piece from the moment he was drafted.   He was a 1:1 pick, heralded as a generational player and the no. 1 prospect in the sport.  Manny was none of those things.  Fans like you (and many others) were clamoring for Adley’s arrival for nearly a year before it happened.  Meanwhile, Manny was brought up when basically nobody was expecting it.  He was great. People would have had a parade if he’d signed here long term.  But not quite Adley in terms of expectations and potential impact.

I had a feeling Adley was going to do that.  He was a little off in his earlier at bats but seemed to be homing in.

The A's pitcher should get fined by his teammates for giving Adley a straight 93 mph fastball on the inner half of the plate...lol.

Adley Rutschman career earnings, or Gunnar Henderson + Grayson Rodriguez career earnings.

Decision Science of Rest wise - I am happy with 13/13 so far.     With two off days next week, I think the Club might get 20+ games along before there is an entire day off.

They don't look like they can do without him even for a minute so far.

They DH him a lot. He is basically our DH 20% of the time. That's a lot rest on the knees. As far as full days off. Should probably shoot for around 8-10 complete days off for the season.

Took him about 105 less PA to get to 4 homers this year Vs last year.
