I didn’t see one of these started yet. Gibson has been about exactly what I expected. The pen let him down in Boston. So far, so good.

He was great tonight, especially after a 30 pitch first inning.

I did not think Gibson had his best stuff or command tonight, but he’s a veteran and knew how to keep the damage to a minimum against a bad lineup.  Good for him.  Can’t do better than 3-0 after 3 games.

Right.  He didn’t look sharp but Oaklands lineup is forgiving.

Wow. I wanted to say no that has to be wrong, but yes it's really been 39 years since the Orioles had a 20 game winner. I met Mike Boddicker a few times as a kid his daughter went to the same preschool as my sister.  Nice guy and friendly (even the next day following a loss by him the previous night).

He understands how to pitch. That's why despite having subpar talent and stuff he can get the job done. It's all about locating your fastball.

After that first inning, I thought we were in for a long night. He just looked "off" in the first inning, but he soon figured it out. Great work!

Enjoy listening to him talk in interviews. Might be a great coach after his playing career.
