Didn't Gibson look like crap early in the year/preseason?

He's made a bit of a turnaround.

Not really.  He’s been pretty steady.  Had a few subpar starts but overall doing what we expected.

Staying among the AL lead dogs 10/32nds of the way through the regular season.     Since his 2014 rookie year, its him, Scherzer, Verlander, Cole, Greinke, Kershaw and Bumgarner at the top of the 10-year range.     Maybe Adley and the guys can help him out in the race holding Cole to a somewhat shorter outing next week.

Innings Pitched
1. Cole  NYY 62.2
2. Eovaldi  TEX 60.1
3. Gibson  BAL 59.0
4. McClanahan  TBR 57.0

Huge game. Got the pen some rest, started the series with a win, kicked a division rival down a game in the standings.

Gibson was awesome tonight.

But how was the picture, Moose?  It was nonexistent in my house, since we don’t have Apple TV.  Did they even really play a baseball game?

Why not 5/16ths?

To this point, Gibson has probably been everything Elias envisioned when he signed him. Outstanding effort last night to go 7 innings. Has the lowest FIP among O's starters at 4.22. Bradish 2nd at 4.24. He's been the workhorse, and the unexpected ace of the staff. I know that can change start to start with this team when some of our younger SP's step up from time to time. Gibson showed the younger SP's how its done tonight.

Had the game in KC when he only missed one bat and had zero K's. That was only 17 days ago. Turns 36 in October and has turned it around dramatically since then.

That was a weird game.  He wasn’t missing bats but he also wasn’t allowing many hits or runs until the final inning, and his pitch count was super low.  Through 6, he’d allowed 2 runs and had only thrown 57 pitches.  He got slapped around in the 7th but it wasn’t a bad outing before then even though he wasn’t missing bats.

Wow. Gibson has been nails. The bullpen needed that one.
