Feels like in the span of three months Gunner has gone from rookie struggling at the plate to the best player in MLB

On June 11 vs. the Royals, Gunnar was a triple shy of the cycle.

On August 20 vs. the A's, Gunnar was a single shy of the cycle.

Tonight, assuming Boston doesn't score nine runs and force extras, Gunnar is a home run shy of the cycle.

If he has a game this year where he is a double shy of the cycle, would that be the first time someone completed the "X shy of the cycle" cycle in a single season?

Did they show a sprint speed on that triple?  He looked like he was moving at a high rate of shoes coming around second.
