You know, there are reasons why Tampa and Atlanta are a combined 52-18. They're pretty good and they have legitimate TOR pitchers. Elias decided Gibson and Irvin were good enough this offseason. Personally, I think the Orioles have competed pretty well considering the offseason Elias had.

Had he come out last offseason with a TOR and MOO, we'd be something impressive this year. But alas, we have to battle with what we got. At least it's competitive.

I agree totally with most of this, except I think we have done better than just “compete”. We have what the 3rd best record? 

Elias still has time to right his offseason wrongs at the deadline. We are in a great position to bridge the talent gap.
