Pretty incredible seeing this Mariners pick from JRod playing out. Would be unbelievable if the O's had a pick here.

I still don't know if we've learned if 2nd place Rookie of Year also earns their team a pick as both runner-ups in Year 1 last year did not meet criteria.

It might be a nothingburger if Gunnar is 2nd to Jung or Yoshida.

I understand that the players on the team to start the season are eligible for this compensation.  However, if Adley was on the roster at the beginning of last season and was a 2nd place winner, then the Orioles would have had an additional Int'l slot $.  Same with the 3rd place winner.  Only the first-place winner receives a draft pick.  Can anyone validate what I'm saying?

They said that Noble Meyer was the top high school pitcher and then they said that Thomas White was the top high school lefty and then they just said that White could have been the top high school pitcher to begin with.

This is the area of the draft where it was said a lot of HS kids could go. Will the Orioles take one that drops and go overslot?
 

They haven’t done that too much in these early rounds in past drafts.

It was playing on both MLB.com and ESPN+.  On ESPN+ there was a link to the first part of the draft and another for Round 2.

I just read an article where he was projected around pick 25. 
what kind of an overslot do you think it would take?
