Eddie!  I remember watching the traveling Orioles basketball team in the early 80's.  They were playing my high school teachers in a game in around 82.  I remember when the game ended I jumped up and ran out on the court and hugged Eddie.  He was my favorite then.  And now.  Never be another Eddie.

Weams and I got to mingle with Cal and Eddie back in 2008 at a special event.  I got to chat with Eddie about his work with youth in So Central LA.  He told so many funny stories throughout the conversation and during the Q&A they had. 

Cal wished me congratulations on our engagement. 

We each got to take photos with them.  I'm like so tiny between the two of them!

What great memories.

Can you believe Eddie didnt start swtich hitting until he was in the minor leagues?  He never switch hit as a kid at all.
