Bullpen needs to be a top priority this off-season. I really wanted Elias to trade for a good reliever at the trade deadline. Not that I predicted Bautista would get hurt, but you can never have too much bullpen depth late in the season.

He has a lot of really bad health problems.  It’s apparently very hard for him to even get out of bed in the morning.

I thought the same thing. I bet he’s on some kind of medication that makes him retain water or something. It doesn’t look like a natural weight gain.

Is the pen the issue or are they overworked? I get ticked off when media at times blames a bad outing on usage but the pen is tired right now.

Kremer and Means could do a large solid by pitching back to back quality starts the next two days.

Yeah his stomach has an odd shape.  Maybe this is the reason he is quitting after this season?
