Oh no the Blue Jays won't afford anyone in 6 years once the O's window is closed again.

 

Its never awesome when a division rival signs one of the best players in baseball. It wasn't great having Judge back last year and it won't be great having Ohtani with the Jays this year. You don't know with the Blue Jays.  They are owned by Rogers Communications and they have had erratic funding in the past.

Was it 2014 when they were allowed to add any payroll for a playoff push?

We serially underestimate what a financial giant the Blue Jays are. There are 3 such giants in this division. Not two. With the Yankees obviously being mega giants. lol

I hate that that got Soto more than I hate that the Blue Jays might get Ohtani, to be honest.
