Did Armbruester face any major league batters?  3 innings, 4 Ks seems quite impressive, and according to one source he only needed 19 pitches for that?

Forget the 19 pitches part.  In spring box scores, they usually count strikeouts as 3 pitches, walks as 4 pitches, and all other at bats as 1 pitch.  No relation to reality.

No video sucks.  Would like to have seen Armbruester, Krook, and Ort, etc.

Sounds like Westburg was hitter of the day (homer, triple, lineout to right) and Mayo continues to make an early statement.

Interesting that they brought Leandro Arias over from minor league camp.  He made an error and struck out but quite an honor for him.

According to the box score, he faced Nick Meyer, Curtis Mead, Junior Caminero, Jose Siri, Richie Palacios, Carson Williams, Kenny Piper, CJ Hinojosa, Ruben Cardenas, & Tanner Murray. So not many major league hitters, although Caminero is apparently their top prospect.

Gameday is especially wonky for games at Ed Smith Stadium. It seems to work better at other ST ballparks.

Yeah, Siri is a legit big leaguer and Palacios is sort of a fringy AAAA guy (McKenna type maybe).

But Caminero is their Holliday, Mead is kind of their Westburg, and Carson Williams is sort of poor man’s 20-year-old Gunnar — so there was a lot of talent in the batter’s box, just not many seasoned pros.

Siri is their starting CF and Palacios homered and killed us in the Drew Rom game last year in StL.

I'm surprised at how well Tyler Nevin has been playing this early in Spring Training. It's like he's telling everyone not to write him off and he's demanding more opportunities.

If he keeps it up maybe someone will claim him when he’s put on waivers at the end of ST.   His only chance is a Mountcastle injury as a platoon mate with O’Hearn.

Siri was also the part of the Mancini trade that went from Houston to Tampa Bay.
