We'll see how Tate does but I don't have a problem with taking Irvin out there.  Jeffers is their hottest hitter and he got a loud hit earlier in the game.  I don't trust Irvin much these days.

Not sure what you're referring to. There are a bunch of hispanic umpires. MLB's most public comments about Hernandez were in court when they argued that the reason he doesn't get World Series assignments is because he sucks.

Jeffers had roped two balls off Irvin - one was foul.  I'm thinking Hyde didn't want to risk Jeffers getting under one of those pitches and thing the game on one swing.   Jeffers was dialed in on Irvin.
