I wish the Cardinals folks who made the decision to start the game with a massive rainstorm an hour out would have sensed that as well, so that they wouldn't have prematurely started this one early and burned the starters.

It's also a sign Means was definitely exiting the game since Suarez was warming in the event the rain delay didn't happen or came later.

I don't think Means was in any shape to go deep.  I feel extremely lucky to get 3 scoreless from Means and a 3-0 lead.

If Means is hurt again, 60 Day IL and bring up Povich. Irvin back to rotation. Povich and Suarez are your multi inning guys.

No official word, but broadcasters are speculating that he had some arm discomfort because his velo was a bit down, he was shaking his arm out, and it looked like they were warming Suarez before the rain delay.
