Honestly, there’s so much more done by a catcher than slugging. It’s hard to fathom someone suggesting Hunt could easily take McCann’s place next season as backup. And that’s not even considering the side-by-side comparison against Handley in the main forum thread.

I’m so glad we have him to back up Adley. 
 

Edit: And yes, I know Tony-OH disagrees about that with gusto.

I like the trust and partnership that Brandon Hyde and Fedi Gonzalez have built with each other in making game decisions. They seem to have good communication like just now getting the bullpen going.
