So something like Norby+ De Leon/Baumeister for Kikuchi + Yimi Garcia. 

Then Adam Ottavino is a playoff vet that I like and the Mets seem to love former O’s pitchers. 

Ottavino for Vespi + Zimmerman 

Heck. You could do Severino for the other of De Leon/Baumeister.
 

There’s your playoff rotation. Burnes, Grayson, Kikuchi, Severino. Kikuchi starts at OPACY. 

Garcia, Ottavino, and Suarez to the pen.

Not that pricey.  

Yimi has a sore elbow. Kikuchi's track record is quite mixed but he gave up 9 runs his last two starts. I think we might have missed the lightning in a bottle window for him.

Ottavino is 38 and sucking.

Another data point for wins being a mostly useless way to evaluate a pitcher's performance or talent.

Pending a miracle in the next two series against the Brewers and Phillies,  the Cubs will indeed be sellers. With that said, it's not a tear down so the definitely available pieces would be Bellinger and Hendricks.  The should be available,  but Jed is too afraid of his shadow, are Taillon, Tauchman and Nico.  I don't think Happ or Seiya would wave their NTC. I'd be fairly shocked if any of Imanaga,  Steele, Busch and  Assad were traded. So nothing too exciting.

Pittsburgh needs to score some runs. Since it’s been the good Mitch Keller lately how about a block buster. Keller and Bednar for Mountcastle, Stowers, Norby and McDermott. Add a DSL or FCL player if needed. Pittsburgh gets 3 guys to plug in there offense today.

Solid deal, imo. Bednar does have an oblique issue right now.
